Dave Weidner and Andrea Terry - Co-Owners of Maine Handy Ones
Hello! Thanks for checking out our website!
We are two handy folks from Bowdoin, Maine.
Dave is a Navy veteran who worked full-time for Home Depot for over 18 years and can build, fix, remodel or rebuild practically anything. Andrea is a part-time librarian at Patten Free Library in Bath, who also works as full time on site in the business, as well as handling the accounting and paperwork for the business.
We both graduated from Norwich University as members of the Corps of Cadets in 1997. Additionally, Andrea got her Master's of Library Science in 2013 from the University of South Carolina (online). We have been doing handy work together for over 25 years.
In our rare off times, we enjoy kayaking, day hiking, fishing, cooking gluten-free meals, looking for sand dollars and sea glass, and making maple syrup. Dave is an active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. We try to sponsor local softball teams every spring.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our daughter, Jaimey, is attending the US Air Force Academy. USAFA has a less than a 14% acceptance rate from over 30,000 students who begin the process of applying. Applications require a congressional nomination, excellent physical fitness and health and superb academic abilities. As of February 2024, she has achieved the rank of Cadet Staff Seargent, and is a member of the PEER and Teal Rope student support groups, as well as playing second base and catcher on the softball team.
We live on 38 wooded acres with two enthusiastic Great Pyreneese cross dogs and three moody cats.
